Rainbow Snow with Momenta

Hey friends!

How about one more rainbow layout for the year?! (Disclaimer: author reserves the right to create more rainbow layouts before 2019 if she so desires and feels so inspired.)

I think this snowflake border die set from Momenta may be my new favorite!

I prepped my background with rainbow watercolor splatters, then I layered die cut snowflakes in the corresponding rainbow. Then I sewed a strip down the middle of each die cut for added texture.

I also used a "snow day" stamp in corresponding ink colors to add to the mixed media effect.

These sliver glitter sticker words from Momenta added the perfect title in a "neutral" tone that didn't take away from my rainbow.

I used my son's photos in his bright blue coat as the blue rainbow strip!

There are great little embellishments on the silver glitter sticker sheet as well.

Rainbows just make me so happy!

Finishing past DDs

Hey friends!

I am not falling prey to the tempting, glittery December Daily this year, but I am finishing up past albums I started!

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to use a wreath on your page! I used this awesome Bo Bunny winter paper to match my photo and make a snowflake wreath.

This is a 6x8 page of my youngest laying in my Nana's lap. That was a tough year, and he only got to know her a very short time, but I'm glad she got to meet him. This is a sweet photo of him with her.

I used a snowflake border die and just separated the snowflakes individually from the line it cut to adhere them in a wreath pattern. Then I sewed around them for added texture.

There is not much room on these 6x8 pages, so I kept it fairly simple!

I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week at Lasting Memories - wreaths are always a gorgeous go to for a page design!

Christmas Throwback with Lasting Memories

Hey friends!

It's Sunday and time for another challenge at Lasting Memories.

Today's prompt was to use and "old timey" photo on a Christmas page. I have actually needed this prompt for a while, since there is a story I've been wanting to tell about my favorite Christmas tradition growing up.

I used the new Pebbles Christmas collection & the banner punch I won from their IG background. There I am circa 1990ish and 1994 (age 9)! These photos are so special because we no longer have my grandmother or my aunt with us, which makes my memories with them so precious. The journaling talks about our baking day we did every year around Christmas and all the delicious "retro" foods everyone would make. It was always one of my favorite days of the year!

You can catch more details of the page on my Instagram account. I hope you will play along with this fun challenge at Lasting Memories this month!

Wanderlust with Momenta

Gettin' my fall on today with another fun page created with Momenta goodies.

I love these autumn leaf dies and the great embossing bits that create such wonderful texture!

I inked the leaves and sewed them on in falling lines above my photo of hubs and I at the Red Rocks of Sedona.

Of course I had to add sequins for a bit of my "rustic sparkle."

Aren't these wood veneer stickers so wonderful!? They go so well with the rustic look I'm going for with this travel album, but they're so versatile, and can be colored to fit any scheme.

These jewel tone papers from Momenta go well with my natural themed album.

This was such a fun trip! I'm so glad I'm documenting it so soon after we took it. Go grab your favorite Momenta products at Hobby Lobby or on their website!

Traveling with Momenta

Today I'm bringing you the first layout I created for our travel album for our recent trip to Arizona! I used all these great Momenta goodies to make it happen.

I used these awesome Momenta feather stamps to emboss in clear glitter on my Kraft paper. Then I use some color shine for splatters.

These foam phrase stickers were perfect for the opening page of our trip, and the theme of Kraft base throughout the album. I stamped a feather in color to tie into the background.

The travel foam stickers go great with my earthtone photos!

The Travel mixed media stickers included this awesome wooden sentiment that really pops off the page! It's also #truth.

I think I"m really going to enjoy making this #rusticsparkle album of our trip out west, and these Momenta supplies fit the theme perfectly!

Dino Obsession with Momenta

Hey friends!

Today I'm sharing a fun page I created for Momenta about my dinosaur-obsessed boy.

These embossed foam stickers of dinosaurs were perfect to document my oldest son's current obsession with dinos.

I embossed a woodgrain stamp on the background paper with gold powder. The green triangle is from the gemtones paper pad from Momenta.

I cut some green leaves with Momenta dies to embellish around the page with my stamped ephemera as clusters.

The "DINO" was cut with Momenta alpha dies as well.

I loved how the dino stickers complimented the colors in the photos.

I like how the journaling tags bring the white from the top of the page to meet the stamped cluster at the bottom. then I placed the dino stickers around the page.

Don't forget to document the little everyday moments!

Pumpkin Patch with Lasting Memories

Good morning, dear friends!

Today I'm bringing a traveler's notebook spread I created for this week's prompt over at Lasting Memories. This month is all about Fall Harvest! Scrap about your harvest or favorite plants/flowers/etc.

My spread is about the TWO pumpkins we grew in our yard this year. LOL - pitiful! At least they're pretty.

I love how these Echo Park die cut, Carta Bella stickers and striped paper from CraftSmithCo all fit together so well with my pumpkin photo.

As always I used my Rock Your Notebook custom insert.

I layered a vellum envelope behind the photo with some adhesive cork to pop it off the page.

I cut little notches in the sides of my background paper to keep the twine in place.

Here's the story of our sorry pumpkin patch! haha!

I hope you will play along with this week's challenge at Lasting Memories!

Arrrgh, Matey! - a Momenta page

Hello matey's! Tis National Talk Like a Pirate day! To celebrate, here's a fun page I created using Momenta products.

I used this awesome screen stencil for the background! I think it is intended for fabric, but it worked fabulously on paper.

I used silver metallic paint to paint the background. It dried super quickly.

These are photos of me and my boys at the Pirate House - a cool, historic, haunted restaurant in Savannah.

Isn't that the cutest pirate you've ever seen?!
I'm loving these gemtones pages from Momenta!

I ran some cardstock through my embossing machine and I distressed all the edges of the project life cards I used as layering pieces.

This is some halloween felt embellishments I picked up after the holiday last year - perfect for a pirate page!

A little journaling at the bottom of the page finished it off - it's amazing how many small photos I'm getting comfortable at fitting on an 8x8 page!

Enjoy National Pirate Day!

Mixed bag - Lucky Number 3 - with Lasting Memories

Hey friends!

There's another fun challenge for you over at Lasting Memories today!

The prompt today is to use three photos on a layout with three pattern papers and three embellishments.

I cranked out another little 6x8 pocket page for my 8x8 vacation album with this challenge!

Of course I had to use my Ink Road Stamps on my mermaid page. I used three different patterned cards, three stamps, three embellishment clusters and three photos!

I hope you'll play along with us at Lasting Memories this week!

Mermaids! IRS and SMS Instagram hop

Hello friends!

There's tons of fun making a SPLASH over on Instagram today! Ink Road Stamps and SpiegelMom Scraps have teamed up for an Instagram hop.

There's tons of inspiration in the hop featuring the IRS mermaid stamp sets and the exclusive sequin mix from SMS. These ladies have seriously blown my mind with their creative projects!

I used these adorable sets to create a fun 6x8 pocket page. The mermaids fit perfectly in these 2x2 squares.

I used alcohol inks to create some aqua mixed media and stamped the mermaids on top..

I added some sequin clusters with these ladies.

The MERMOM stamp was just perfection with these photos of me playing with my boys in the ocean.

Of course I had to add some glitter! I did two sequins pockets with my fuse, and embossed the Mermaid at Heart stamp with some light blue glitter and adhered it to the outside of pockets.

Some lightly stamped bubbles made a great journaling square for my page.

Grab your own bundle with my referral link for 15% off your first order! Or use the code natalie10 for 10% off for returning customers.

Make sure to complete the IG hop for your chance to win tons of fun prizes and see some beautiful inspiration.

Mixed bag FUN with Lasting Memories

Hey friends!

Today our challenge at Lasting Memories a mixed bag - today's challenge is to use the word fun on a summer layout.

This was a great challenge for me since I'm working through a summer beach vacation 8x8 album.

I used a collection of outtakes from a photo session with my boys on the beach to create these pocket pages. I even printed a blooper photo because i just loved the little blurry sandy hands, and it was perfect to hold my "fun" title!

I stamped with fun sentiments from the new mermaid stamps at Ink Road and used lots of Amy Tangerine papers.

These kids are so crazy - it's hard to get "good" photos these days, but I'm loving the outtakes!

Thanks for looking & I hope you'll play along at Lasting Memories!!
