Rainbow Snow with Momenta

Hey friends!

How about one more rainbow layout for the year?! (Disclaimer: author reserves the right to create more rainbow layouts before 2019 if she so desires and feels so inspired.)

I think this snowflake border die set from Momenta may be my new favorite!

I prepped my background with rainbow watercolor splatters, then I layered die cut snowflakes in the corresponding rainbow. Then I sewed a strip down the middle of each die cut for added texture.

I also used a "snow day" stamp in corresponding ink colors to add to the mixed media effect.

These sliver glitter sticker words from Momenta added the perfect title in a "neutral" tone that didn't take away from my rainbow.

I used my son's photos in his bright blue coat as the blue rainbow strip!

There are great little embellishments on the silver glitter sticker sheet as well.

Rainbows just make me so happy!

Momenta has tons of fun, versatile products that can be used for winter - check them out!

Thanks for looking, and happy holidays!

Finishing past DDs

Hey friends!

I am not falling prey to the tempting, glittery December Daily this year, but I am finishing up past albums I started!

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to use a wreath on your page! I used this awesome Bo Bunny winter paper to match my photo and make a snowflake wreath.

This is a 6x8 page of my youngest laying in my Nana's lap. That was a tough year, and he only got to know her a very short time, but I'm glad she got to meet him. This is a sweet photo of him with her.

I used a snowflake border die and just separated the snowflakes individually from the line it cut to adhere them in a wreath pattern. Then I sewed around them for added texture.

There is not much room on these 6x8 pages, so I kept it fairly simple!

I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week at Lasting Memories - wreaths are always a gorgeous go to for a page design!

Christmas Throwback with Lasting Memories

Hey friends!

It's Sunday and time for another challenge at Lasting Memories.

Today's prompt was to use and "old timey" photo on a Christmas page. I have actually needed this prompt for a while, since there is a story I've been wanting to tell about my favorite Christmas tradition growing up.

I used the new Pebbles Christmas collection & the banner punch I won from their IG background. There I am circa 1990ish and 1994 (age 9)! These photos are so special because we no longer have my grandmother or my aunt with us, which makes my memories with them so precious. The journaling talks about our baking day we did every year around Christmas and all the delicious "retro" foods everyone would make. It was always one of my favorite days of the year!

You can catch more details of the page on my Instagram account. I hope you will play along with this fun challenge at Lasting Memories this month!
