Birthday Bears - a LM challenge

Hello friends,

I'm here today with another challenge from the fun Lasting Memories blog! This week's challenge is to use the Red Cross as inspiration for your layout.

I used red paper with white crosses - one of my faves. And I pulled some metallic black Heidi Swapp texture paste through a cross stencil.

My brother captured some super great photos of my boys blowing out their birthday candles at their Camping themed party in November, so they definitely deserved their own great scrapbook layout.

My boys have birthdays 3 years and 1 day apart, so they will always share a birthday party. They love each other so much, they don't seem to mind yet!

I backed some of my photos with red and white glitter papers to add to my rustic sparkle theme.

I'm super loving this pack of textured Kraft Bazzil cardstock I found at Tuesday Morning. It's great for my rustic, boy layouts.

This birthday party for my bear cubs was a success!

I hope you will play along with Lasting Memories this week for our last March "month of" challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for looking!s

Sleep Tight - a Scrap the Boys challenge

Hey friends!

I'm here today with a layout I created with a fun challenge from Scrap the Boys. What a great blog, and I can't believe I have not participated before.

This layout was based upon a fun sketch from Laura Whitaker:

I had these three sweet photos of my boy with his 4th birthday gift of a big boy bed, and they were perfect!

I used these fun eyelashes from the new Ink Road Stamps Iconic collection instead of E's in the title! I love they look like asleep eyes, and let me tell you - this boy has lashes for day! So unfair lol.

These transparent ephemera pieces from Shimelle were perfect for a layout about bedtime! It is hard to photograph a bit - it says "to the Moon & Back."

I also got these great WRMK dies at Tuesday Morning that were perfect with my star theme!

I also picked up this dot textured Kraft and LOVE it!

I sewed a circle around my star background staying true to the sketch and I love how that turned out as well.

Only a litte journaling was necessary to tell this story, and accenting with acrylic stars brought the theme together again.

Aww that sweet sleepy baby face is already so much bigger!

I loved working with the Scrap the Boys challenge. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Supplies:
Kraft dotted cardstock - Bazzil
Patterned paper - WRMK
Die cuts - WRMK, Maggie Holmes
acrylic stars -Studio Calico
Alphas - Bella Blvd
Stamps - Ink Road Stamps
Transparent ephemera - Shimelle

Lucky Duck - a Challenge YOUrself page

Hello Friends!

I love green and I love gold glitter, so St. Patty's day is a fun theme for me. I ran across these old photos from our college days, and decided to scrapbook them in my current style with a 10 years + perspective.

I used a fun challenge from the Challenge YOUrself blog.

I used the diagonal line with Stamps, Photo with ME, and Mists or Sprays. I also used Washi tape and a Die Cut.

I cut this shamrock rainbow cut file from my Cricut.

I gessoed the page and did the package technique with my HS Shine spray.

Then I used some gel mat medium mixed with gold glitter with my heart stencil, and stamped the "how you doin'" stamp from the new IRS Friends themed stamp "The One with all the stamps."

We were so young! haha! The glitter AC Thickers worked perfectly for this layout.

I had pulled out some gold washi, but I was not sure how to use it. Until I screwed up my journaling, then I figured it out really quickly! haha!

I was really needed to get my craft on, and this messy, glittery page was just the thing for that! I hope you're inspired to create a super fun St. Patrick's Day page this week!

Supplies:
Background Paper - Crate Paper
Thickers - American Crafts
Star Washi - Freckled Fawn
Triangle Washi - Hobby Lobby
Stamp - Ink Road Stamps
Green spray - Heidi Swapp Shine
Cut file cut with Cricut - Image from google.
Glitter and puffy  Hearts - Hobby Lobby

My crafty space - a LM challenge

Hey hey crafty peeps!

I'm here again today with another layout inspired by a challenge at Lasting Memories.

March is National Craft month, so we are challenged this week to create a page about our favorite crafting hobby or about our craft space.

This worked out great since I recently cleaned and reorganized my craft room to sell our house. It's been looking GOOD! I definitely wanted to document it, so I created this page in my January traveler's notebook, which is the month I cleaned the space to put our home on the market.

The Beautiful Mess stamp set from Ink Road Stamps was super perfect for this crafty spread!

I'm super proud of those rose gold mason jars! Haha! I actually bought more of them to house my letterboard letters.

I stamped one of the sentiments on this little polaroid frame and I'm loving it.

Do it! Go make a mess and play along with our challenge! Make a page about YOU and what you love to do!

Wild Whimsy - GDT @ Wild Whisper

Hey friends!

I'm super pumped to announce that I am the guest designer over at Wild Whisper Designs for March and April! I am so honored the girls are having me, and the entire group is so welcoming and sweet, not to mention crazy talented! I love meeting new people that share my passion.

I want you to see all the details on the Wild Whisper blog, but here's the finished product!

This Wild Whimsy collection is something else! I love how unique the color pallette is, and the whimsical mermaids are my fave.

I highly suggest grabbing the collection for your spring break or upcoming beach trips! Head on over to the WW blog for details and a small photo tutorial on how I made the waterfall feature on the layout - you pull the tail & the photos flip!
