You are my American Dream - Lasting Memories

Hey friends!

Today's last challenge of the month over at Lasting Memories is to use bicycles on your page!

I've been hoarding this gorgeous Carta Bella paper for a while, time to use it!

This is fairly simple for me, but sometimes I have to remind myself it's enough to just have the memory documented!

This was just a quick memory about our first holiday in our new home, the party we had to celebrate, and my sweet boys on the front porch of my dream farmhouse! Perfection #blessed.

I created my own bunting by halving a circle die cut out of glitter paper, and pairing with starred geotags turned upside down.

I continued with the gold foil in my star border and then brought a bit of the bunting down to tie in with my photo.

I hope you'll hop over to Lasting Memories and play along with this fun challenge! The design team has some great inspiration up today.

Favorite quotes with Rock Your Notebook

Hey friends!

I have a new art journal spread today using my awesome Rock Your Notebook mixed media black and white insert!

I love coming up with new things to show up on the black pages of this traveler's notebook.

I ran across this quote in a book I"m reading the other day and it spoke to me, so I had to get it down.

I thought black doodles on the white page tied well into the black opposite page.

I used ranger texture paste through a white stencil and sprinkles Paper Artsy Infusions in yellow and blue - swoon!

Toppped things off with some dies, of course, my current go to tool is my Big Shot. I can't get enough delicate glitter cuts!

Go grab your custom notebook insert at Rock Your Notebook today and use my code NatalieDT15 for 15% off your order!

A little Crabby - Momenta

Hey everybody!

Today I'm sharing a fun little layout I made for my vacation 8x8 album with some great Momenta goodies.

The background paper is from the 8x8 gemtones paper pad.

I used my Momenta crab die to made a border strip which I backed with pattern paper. I also used it to cut out foam to pop the cut gingham crabs off the paper as 3d embellishments.

I used the some red Momenta puffy stickers to accent my photos - they even had the perfect little crabby!

I created my own alpha letter stickers by running some adhesive foam through my Big Shot with these Momenta alphabet dies - perfect!

Go grab some of these goodies for your own creations.

Scrap the Boys GDT

Hey friends!

I'm honored to be the Gueset Designer this month for the Scrap the Boys card challenge. The theme this month is geometric.

I've been enjoying my Harry Potter stamps lately, so I was inspired to use them on this card!

I used black, shine texture paste through an octogonal stencil on the background.

I mimicked that geometric shape with my glitter piece here and other octogonal embellishments.

The background paper of my sentiment cluster includes triangles as well.

I backed the card on kraft, and stamped Harry on kraft as well. I love this color combo for fall (Please come on, fall!)

I hope you'll go play along with Scrap the Boys! Their blog is so inspiring!

You’re so Fly - Lasting Memories

Happy Sunday! There’s another new challenge on the Lasting Memories blog today. The theme this month is transportation & today’s challenge is to use a hot air balloon on your layout.

I also have a process video on my YouTube channel - please check it out and give a thumbs up.

I scrapped my son's pre-K graduation. The color palette kinda happened due to the alcohol inks and infusions at my disposal, but I LOVE it!

You know I almost always have to add a bit of glitter!
Check out the video for how I colored my own Thickers to match!

I have had this Studio Calico paper in my stash for a while, and I"m super glad I finally found a way to use it. I have trouble with full pages of a full photo like this, but as Missy says, don't be afraid to cover it up!

Please play along with us at Lasting Memories!

There are so many ways to incorporate a hot air balloon on your page. If you don't have supplies with hot air balloons - use a cut file! You could also draw or paint one super simply.

I love all the pattern on the balloon. Since the pattern was busy, I kept it to only two colors.

Alcohol inks are super satisfying. If you haven't tried them, treat yo'self! They're fun to use.

I hope you'll play along with the challenge this week!

A light in the galaxy - a RYN spread

Hey friends!

Today I'm bringing you a fun, watercolor galaxy I created in my Rock Your Notebook travelers notebook.

I used the black and white mixed media notebook. This middle page is two white pages facing one another, so I decided to try my hand at a galaxy and I love it!

The paper is so wonderfully thick that the watercolors did not soak through at all, and I really saturated my pages.

The light stamp is from Ink Road Stamps and the Harry Potter quote is from Kelly Purkey shop.

I love that bit of texture the hand sewn spine gives!

You can get your own, custom notebook in the Rock Your Notebook store and 15% off with my code NatalieDT15.
