Stamp your Story - IRS

Hey hey hey, dear friends!

Today I'm over on the blog at Ink Road Stamps with a fun way to use stamps in your scrapbooking journaling.

How ironic that this layout is posted upon the cusp of a government shut down. I will have to continue to work no matter what, as I'm an essential employee!

I used some products from a Pretty Little Studio line designed by the IRS design team coordinator, Zinia! I love getting a little girly on layouts about myself.

Head on over to the IRS blog & check out the layout details!

Catchin' Dreams - A LM Challenge

Hey everybody!

Today there's a new challenge up on the Lasting Memories blog today. Our monthly theme is Word Play & today we're playing on the word "dream".

I created this page about some crafty dreams coming true with my two layouts published last month in the Creative Scrapbooker Winter 2017 issue.

I straight up too a selfie in Barnes & Noble with people thinking I"m cray, I'm sure, but who cares!

Also, have you ever had an idea for a "quick" page and then your idea transformed into HOURS, but then the end product was better than you imagined so it's all good? Yeh, that's what happened here.

I cut a circle from cardboard and wrapped it with pink twine.

Side Note: I chose these cute sparkly Thickers I picked up the other day before looking at the name of them - they're called Dreamer! So perfect!

Wrapping this sucker in pink twine was what took me the longest, but I love how it turned out!

These little ephemera pieces from shimelle were perfect for the theme too!

I hope you will play along with the Lasting Memories challenge this week! Share your dreams!

Supplies:
Hexagon Paper - Paige Taylor Evans for Pink Paislee
Green lined paper - Studio Calico
Paper dream ephemera - Shimelle
Thickers - American Crafts

Happy Fri-YAY, y'all!

Today is Feature Friday over at Ink Road Stamps & we're using the Just a Number stamp set as inspiration.

I've created a New Year's Eve inspired #goals page using some of the fun sentiments and balloons from the set.

I embossed the balloons on white and black paper in gold and fussy cut the lot.

This stamp set was  meant for a birthday, but some of the sentiments really worked so perfectly for encouraging amazing goals!

I have food and health goals, travel goals, crafty goals and financial goals listed. This year we're either making some big changes or really settling down in our home - we haven't yet decided & it's a bit scary!

Here's to that success!

Go check out the fun stamp sets over at The Ink Road & get you a set - they're on sale!

Love you more than Gummy Bears!

Hello, friends!

Today I'm over on the Lasting Memories blog with this springy layout using the word LOVE for our weekly word focus.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm over this bitter cold around here! So I decided to escape through my scrapbooking and create a BRIGHT warm layout to get away from the cold, at least for a bit.

I picked up this adorable gummy bear paper from an amazing sale from Paper Issues the other day - and it totally inspired my layout!

To add a little masculinity, I embossed some white cardstock in wood grain and hid it behind some paper peeks.

I grabbed some pocket cards from my stash to tie in the gummy bear colors with expansive yellow paper, and used some colorful alphas to bring them all together.

I used all the Easter outtakes of these two crazy boys for this fun spring layout. I added some random alphas from a dwindling pack to bring the turquoise down the page and tie with the camera. I also embossed this white strip in woodgrain to match the paper peeks.

I love these sweet faces! It's so easy to incorporate the word LOVE on your page, so you should definitely play along with this week's challenge at Lasting Memories.

Supplies:

Yellow/aqua - Illustrated Faith
Cardstock sticker Hearts and alphas - Illustrated Faith

Sip Sip Hooray!

Happy weekend, y'all!

I'm getting a little tired of these frigid temps, so I'm over here scrapping some summer layouts!

I added some sweet little Cocoa Daisy fronds to a circle and cut it with my Cricut.

I couldn't decide if I wanted my embossed boardwalk on white with turquoise distress or vice versa, so I did both.

I typed on some labels for some journaling and added a sparkly coconut. I used some Navy twine to pull the navy from the alphas into the rest of my layout.

I have an  Instagram board of quotes, and I recently added Sip Sip Hooray to it. It was so perfect for this layout! I added "it's Vacay" to it as well because I LOVE it.

I added some sequin/puffy sticker clusters to tie the metallic from the alphas through the rest of the page.

I used some paint to try to add some opaque white splatters. It didn't work out as well as I wanted, but it'll do.

Wishing I was on the beach right now!

Supplies:
Frond paper - Amy Tangerine
labels, dot tag, puffy stickers, striped alphas - My Minds Eye
Coconut - Jolee's
