Spring Flowers with Lasting Memories

Hey hey friends! I'm so glad it's officially spring around here in Tennessee!

There is a new prompt today at Lasting Memories to scrap the spring goodness you find in your yard.

This gorgeous, purple hiacynth came back this year, and spread around the yard! A thrill for someone like me who has a brown thumb. I made sure to get a photo of it with a new pair of spring shoes I busted out the other day.

I have a Deathly Hallows tattoo on my foot, so I carried that theme throughout my page with the florals and purple. Ha - the persistence stamp is perfect because I continue to plant flowers even tho I usually kill them!

I got the Deathly Hallows wax seal at Universal Studios in the Harry Potter section when we went a few years ago.

Of course I had to use my IRS Bella Flora dies, you know they're my faves. These tiny flowers from Bun Intended 2 are amazing too!

I love the hallows and floral combo - I will definitely revisit that!

Play along with us at Lasting Memories this month! There is a prize up for grabs and fun, new inspiration every week.

Smokies in a Pocket Page

Hey Friends!

This weekend ends Spring Break, but we had a blast on our little getaway, and I've already scrapbooked some of it!

I recently got some of the new Pinkfresh Studio line Out & About in the A Cherry on Top store which mixes and matches so perfectly with some old school Pink Paislee Outfitters, and newer PP Wild Child (boy).

I need an entire pack of these National Park tickets, please!

Loving this bug paper from Wild Child!

So glad to have this gorgeous, fun day documented! You can see more in the ACOT gallery, and more to come on their blog and even some new video on my YT channel - whhhat?!

Have a wonderful, scrappy weekend!

My Lucky Home

Happy St. Patty's Day, friends!

I have a new layout today, inspired by a fun inspiration board at Lasting Memories.

This month we're using inspiration photos for our pages, and today's inspiration was this collage of all things Irish:

Man, I love Ireland. We went once, and it was much too short, and we will be back some day!  I used the inspiration photo to tell a story about my new house and how I've decorated it for the "holiday."

From the photo I used the clovers, hanging vines, old brick buildings, and overall theme of Ireland.

I used shimmerz to make a green, partial wreath, then I cut some foliage out of glitter cardstock.

My Nana passed a few years ago on this day. Her last words to me were, "take care of those boys." I try to honor that every day, of course. They think St. Patty's Day is so fun. I buy them tattoos and hats and necklaces and they love to dress up. When my youngest was small I had gotten away from holiday decorating, but I'm trying to move back towards it. My Nana loved to celebrate all the holidays and had decor for all of them, so I will follow in her footsteps and hang some green and gold for a  week or so.

Glittery leaves are my jam!

These sentiments from Pebbles were perfect for my page about our decorated home.

I hope you can be inspired by today's photo. It can even be the inspiration for you to go out today and take some corresponding photographs.

Thanks for looking!

Rainbow Sunset with Momenta

Hey Friends! Are you ready for St. Patty's Day this weekend!?

Not that I need an excuse to get in the rainbow mood, but I was inspired by the upcoming holiday to create a rainbow layouts using my new favorite Momenta product - the Mermaid Scale die!

I used the die to cut from a rainbow array of papers from the momenta watercolor paper pad, then I randomly shaped the die cuts and overlapped to match the shapes.

How cute is that wooden sunshine sticker!? New to Momenta!

I added splatters in corresponding colors for each rainbow section, and added my pink sunset photo in the rainbow's pink position. It really was that gorgeous IRL!

The wood veneer printed stickers are such a fun accent, and the basic wood makes them versatile for so many types of layouts.  I love the blue hibiscus flower, it was perfect for the beachy layout.

This Mermaid Scale die is my new favorite background layering tool!  I hope you've been inspired and may the luck of the Irish be with you!

Georgia on my Mind - Lasting Memories

Happy Sunday, friends!

There's another great challenge over at Lasting Memories today. It inspired me to create the title page for our July 2018 vacation album.

The challenge was to use this photo as inspiration for the layout:

I used the circles, the colors, and the butterflies within my page.

I layered this green map transparency over a watercolor pink background to soften it up. I actually used the transparency backwards because the green was too lime for the southern belle look I was aspiring toward.

I sewed my circles down. I cut them from Maggie Holme's Crate paper and a Webster's pages floral piece.

I used these Pink Paislee's Thickers by PTE as a tiny title - GA on my mind.

I hope you're inspired to create something fabulous with this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories. There's tons of great inspiration on the blog!

Beautiful Soul with Momenta

Hey friends!

I'm here today with a fun, spring page created with Momenta products.

This pic of my pup smelling the yellow daffodils was the perfect Spring photo to use with this gorgeous new Momenta watercolor flower paper pad.

I used some gesso to blend away a few flowers and apply some distress oxides in lemon and spritzed with water to add some yellow to the page to compliment the flowers in the photo.

I used the Thin San Serif alpha dies to cut the title of "Beautiful Soul" out of corresponding watercolored pink paper.

I also fussy cut some of the florals to create my own die cut ephemera.

I layered some water color papers and a die cut from the Mermaid Scale die for additional texture.

I used the Nested Rectangle Border to create a journaling space, and bordered it with additional fussy cut florals.

This pup and I, myself, are quite ready for spring! I  hope I've inspired you to create a spring page today!
