Sup Santa?

Hey Friends!

I know, a Christmas page, you say? Well, to be fair it is *almost* Scrappy Christmas in July! I just had to get a head start on SCiJ when I saw today's prompt from Lasting Memories. The prompt for today is to create a red & white scrapbook layout in honor of Canada Day - and immediately I thought of doing a Christmas layout.

I used a Page Map from this month:

I wanted to do mixed media, but red mixed media tends to have a bloody look, so I decided to do white texture paste instead of patterned paper. It's a bit hard to photograph, but you can tell a bit below.

How about that large snowflake die?! I got that beaut on sale at the Hob Lob and it's more intricate and beautiful I even expected!

I was using up this foam thicker sheet, but I thought it was kinda fun to leave the A's as at signs and the t was a plus. Lends to the feel of the title anyway.

My boys have had their photo with the same Santa for their entire lives! I love that tradition for sure, and I document it every year.

I hope you'll play along with our Lasting Memorie's challenge this week!

Thanks for looking!

Floral Travel with Momenta

I'm here today with a fun Momenta layout that completed my summer vacation album from last year!!

I worked my die cut machine in one of my favorite color schemes to create this page of me and my boys.

I just cut a few patterned papers in a couple different florals and sewed them onto my page. Love these jewel toned papers from Momenta. They're perfect for the rustic part of my #rusticsparkle.

This awesome mixed media sticker fit the theme well too, adn I added a glitter strip below it to tie in with the glitter florals.

Yay! That makes me happy.

A completed album before we head to our next family vacay is also something that makes me happy!

You can find a flip through of the entire album on my YouTube channel today!

Thanks for looking, friends!

Beach Adventure with Lasting Memories

Hey friends! It's Sunday, so time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories!

Today's summer challenge is to scrapbook vacation photos & I'm SO CLOSE to being done with my vacation album from last year! I really hope to be able to do a flip through so soon! We leave for another trip in a week, so I"d love to have this album done before then.

I played with my new Crafty Jen Schow stamps on this page, and I love them!

I also love that not every page in a vacation album has to have a ton of journaling or a story, I'm just displaying the overall fun we had! I feel like it makes my pages come together quicker when I'm not figuring out where to input journaling.

I also am loving my new organized craft room - it's allowing me to pull bits and peices so much more easily. I love that I found the heart and label to match this paper so well.

I hope you'll play along with this week's challeng at Lasting Memories - there is an A Cherry on Top gift card up for grabs!

Our Adventure with Momenta

Hey friends!

Today I'm sharing a pocket page I created for a special hike I took wth my oldest on our Spring Break trip using all types of Momenta embellishments!

The journaling card I chose set the tone of the color scheme for the entire page.

I used a Momenta die for the floral border on the title page, along with a wood veneer adventure from the camping sticker set!

The dies make the best little embellishments and layering bits! I also love these little word carstocks for small embellishments around photos.

I like to layer my embellishment atop my photos for a cohesive look along the page.

We hiked a tiny bit of the Appalachain Trail this day, and Heath thought it was the coolest thing ever. He was climbing rocks and enjoying nature. It was for sure a memorable moment for me with him.

I hope you can see how versatile these Momenta products are!
