So Goofy - Farewell 2016!

Hello, friends! Welcome to my last blog post of the year.

I know they have been few and far between these last couple of months, but I hope that will be changing here soon, as life will (hopefully) slow a bit and allow for more crafting, scrapbooking and documenting!

I'm glad to say goodbye to 2016, as it has been a diffcult year, although goodness happened too. Including a fun trip to Disneyworld the first week of this month. That's what I'm documenting today! I've finally gotten to begin on my Disneyworld album, and it will be a big one - over 2000 photos were taken between myself, my father and photo pass.

For my first page, I used a lovely sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. They are using this sketch for a call to find guest designers for their Design Team in 2017. I would be very honored to be chosen to work with the talented ladies of this Design Team. I throughly enjoy using the sketches from this blog!

Here is the application sketch:

To fit the photo I wanted to use, I rotated the sketch.

I really love how it turned out! I enjoyed using mostly non-Disney papers and embellishments, but throwing in a bit of a Disney stack my hubby put in my stocking.

The doily was a last minute addition that I found in my drawer and matched the Goofy color scheme, and I'm so glad I discover it becasue I love it!

I used a mix of Authentique, Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye papers for this layout. The white alphas are Jasmine Jones' for a past December Daily kit.

More photos from this character dinner are below!

Here is the double page spread.

I used my Disney paper pad from Christmas, with some other paper scraps and happy mail bits. The stickers are Me and My Big Ideas and Echo Park.

Ha! My big boy is smiling the same smile in a lot of our Disney photos.

Sometimes I struggle with my pocket pages. I know I cannot realistically actually full-page scrapbook all my photos, so I use pocket pages, but I feel like they stifle my creativity staying within the pockets. However, I am quite pleased with how this page turned out. Hopefully it is a sign of good flow to come for this Disneyworld album!

Don't worry - the little one definitely warmed up to meeting characters during the week. The Woody & Buzz photos made me cry to see all the joy these two boys had upon meeting them. I am not even sure my scrapbooking can do them justice!

I hope you have enjoyed some scrapbooking inspiration from me this year. I have defnitely enjoyed growing my online prescence in the scrapbooking community this year, and I have made some lovely, crafty friends! 2017 will be great - we'll see!

Thanks for looking & Happy New Year!

Celebrate the holidays!

Today I bring you the last of my completed 2015 December pages. I will complete more later. Also, expect many, new, Christmasy, DISNEY pages soon!

Scrapbook binders have their pros and cons, and the gap in a double page spread is definitely one of the cons, but I do enjoy all the photos together on this spread. I'm a big fan of the red, white and turquoise color scheme too! I like separation the title like this fam + ily, as ILY is also I Love You! <3 p="">

This time last year I was on maternity leave with nugget. Man how I miss those days! It's quite unfortunate that we do not have planned leave for parents as other countries do, but I was blessed to have a couple months off with him.

I documented those sweet moments we had last December. One of them is here. Also, my husband got me tickets to two Christmas concerts for our anniversary last year. Here is concert one, JohnnySWIM at the Ryman Auditorium. It was a great and fun show!

I have also shown this page before, but here it is again. I love a good gold and black color scheme for a New Year's page. And I'm still proud of that amazing charcuterie, so check out that eye candy too. The full page is quite simple, but I really love how it turned out!

Stay tuned for Christmas pages from Disneyworld soon! Disney + Christmas is sure to be amazing, as these are two of my favorite types of pages to create!

It's December 1st, so let's see those December Daily pages!!

Thanks for looking!

Holiday Fun!

Even though I do not do my December album in a Daily format, I tend to have photos from almost every day in December!

Here we have another Santa photo op, as well as documenting seeing the lights at Jellystone in Nashville.  I love to collect ephemera to go in my scrapbook with photos and the Santa and "Santa's Village" bits on the journaling card are from a little ephemera business card we received at the campground.

I love using the pocket pages with 2x2 photos to document days when I have lots of scrap-worthy photos.

We had a super fun afternoon & evening. After seeing the dancing lights at Jellystone, we went to dinner at Santa Fe, then we went to Build-a-Bear, and my oldest son made a bear for his baby brother for Christmas. Then we headed over to see the lights at Opryland Hotel! Definitely some traditional, Nashville Christmas fun!

It's always nice when you can trade photo ops with strangers - so we have a family photo from our Opryland trip. Another shaker pocket needed to be made.

The last spread for today shows photos from one our family Christmas celebrations, which we always have the weekend before Christmas. I posted these pages previously, but enjoy them again with this compilation.

I cannot wait to see December Daily creations popping up on Instagram! Thanks for looking!

Sparkle & Shine!

Back again today with more Christmas/December Daily inspiration!

Is there anything sweeter than baby's first time on Santa's lap?! These sweet newborn photos are too much!

I used a carmine filter for these, and I love how they turned out. I'm not so happy that my glitter from my shaker pocket come around to my Joy to the World card, but it's there now. Still works!

This may be my favorite spread in the album! I adore this Stampin' up Santa stamp. I made the pocket cards with an American Crafts 6x6 paper pad, and I put the cheers sticker on the outside of the pockets. I cannot get enough shaker pockets, and I made my own mix here of reds, black and whites with a couple snowflakes thrown in!

More Christmas magic to come tomorrow! I hope you draw some scrappy inspiration here.

Thanks for looking!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit!

Happy Monday!

I hope you're enjoying my December album share, and getting a little bit of magical, Christmas inspiration!

Today I have a few more pages for you.

Our elf's name is Tinsel & he went a little overboard last year...

The dogs were the only ones that ended up on the naughty list!

Sorry about the glare here. My boys were dressed like Buzz & Woody (a recurring theme this year, it seems). I love their love for each other. That top small pocket is cloud paper, like Andy's bedroom!

Lachlan wasn't too sure about being held by big bro - he's since gotten past that.

I love that my boys see the same Santa every year - great tradition! (Sometimes we see him at Cracker Barrel too LOL!) I love capturing all the sweet faces of the boy when he has serious Santa discussions. Pocket pages are a great way to fit in all these photos.

Tiny album calls for tiny fringes. I love it!

I hope you enjoyed today's pages, and come back for more tomorrow!

Happy Christmas!

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm bring you a layout I created for Lasting Memories Best of 2016 Challenges. They've picked the best challenges of the year to bring back for one more round of inspiration. This week we're bringing back Glitz & Glam from the Oscars theme, which we all know is right up my alley!

Honestly I could pick probably any page at all from my December 2015 album to include in this category. I love the Glitz, y'all!

Today's page includes a photo of boys by my glittery tinsel tree. I used some stamps to create my own background paper for the title. I stamped the title - these boys are MY Christmas magic.

I just love these little glitter trees from Michael's!

I picked up these cutest ever little 6x6 paper pads from Tuesday Morning a while back, and they come in super handy for a 6x8 album.

That glitter ribbon is from the Dollar Tree! What a great find. I bought 6 rolls! LOL!

This week my family & I are enjoying some amazing Christmas magic. So, I've decided to share the Christmas love & show some of my pages from last year's Christmas album. I don't do a December Daily perse, as I cannot keep up with the daily printing. But my 6x8 album dedicated solely to December and mostly all things Christmas is basically the same thing, just not necessarily in the daily format.

So I hope to offer a little inspiration to those of you doing December Daily.

And to those of you who are not - a bit of inspiration to think outside the box & make your project work for you!

Here is the opening page of my album. I have shared some of these pages  before, but this week plan to compile them all together as a glimpse into the completed album.

I'm a little obsessed with acrylic shapes right now, so this little sparkle pocket at the beginning of my album is one of my faves!

Merry December!

I hope you come back this week to see more December scrapbook pages & get into the Christmas spirit!

Also, go play along at Lasting Memories this week with one of my favorite challenges of the year!

Sweet Cheeks

I'm trying to get back in the swing of things, of course, don't get used to it since we will be headed to Disneyworld soon, I'll be out again!

Today, I'm bringing you a 12x12 layout I did for my smallest son, and boy did it feel good to do a 12x12 again. I felt like it had been quite a while!

I used a prompt from Speigel Mom Scraps and their facebook group to use a BIG title on your page.

I also am using this layout as a Design Team entry, I'll let you guess for what call... (wish me luck! *crossesfingers**throwssaltovershoulder**holdsbreath*)

I just love this sweet photo I snapped of Lachlan with my phone on the changing table. It just provides an example of what a super happy baby this sweet little boy is!

I popped up the sequins and the little fussy cut globe with foam dots, and rolled up the edges of my banners. I love creating depth and texture on my pages. The "Darling Boy" is cut from a manufacturer strip from an Authentique collection I just found at TM!

I cut the large title with  my Cricut using free fonts.

Supplies:
Patterned papers - Pink Paislee Citrus Bloom & Atlas
Ephemera and twine - Recollections
Small, smiling child - made my yours truly.

Family Photo with the Big Guy

Happy Monday! What better way to make it through than with some Christmas spirit?

Today I'm bringing you a page I made for my 2015 Christmas 6x8 album using this week's prompt at Lasting Memories, to use triangles.

I made some of these little banners for some Halloween projects, my own scrapbok & some happy mail. They were so well received, I figured they would be great to use in my Christmas album too!

I found these great, American Crafts 6x6 paper pads on the cheap at Tuesday Morning & they're so wonderful for the small banner cuts.

I also layered my banner over some glitter ribbon from the dollar store for a little extra shine. I picked up about 6 rolls of this beautiful ribbon from their Christmas aisle & I love it!

Our church does Breakfast with Santa every year, and we've had the same Santa every year since I had my oldest son, so that's really special that we have these recurring photos!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper - American crafts - Very Merry
Chipboard Stickers - Me and My Big Ideas

I hope that you will play along with us at Lasting Memories & use some triangles!

Happy Halloween, Sistahs!

Happy Halloween all!

Today I'm bringing you another October Daily layout I created using this week's prompt from Lasting Memories to use squares!

I screen shot this meme a while back when people were doing the "3 fictional characters to describe me" because I thought it was hilarious, true, and perfect for my OD!

I've gotten some fantastic Halloween happy mail recently, and this lovely little tag was part of one I received.

I'm getting to the end of my Maggie Holmes gold letters (sad face) - that I was a J!

I also need any excuse to use the adorable wax seal I got at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so that definitely made it into the layout too!

I planned a big Halloween party this past weekend at my church, and because of that planning, my October Daily had to take a back burner. Which honestly, will probably be the case with a lot of craftiness soon because I have a birthday party coming up then a Disney vacay! All fun things, but hinder the crafting. Sorry for the MIA blogging. Will be on as much as possible!

I hope you join us over at Lasting Memories for an all new challenge this week!

Have a spooky day!

Dear Boys

Whew! Let me tell you something. We have been all off schedule lately because of holiday and both boys being sick at different times during the work week & I have learned I am a schedule person! Without my schedule I do not get my crafty time in, and then I become grumpy!

But I'm back! :)

Today I'm bringing you a page I created for this week's challenge at Lasting Memories, which is to create a page of your favorite fall activity.

Fall is our absolute favorite, and we have lots of fun activities, but CUDDLING and SNUGGLING is a favorite pasttime. This is a photo of my sweet boys doing just that.

I created this using a wonderful sketch from Stick It Down. I've really enjoyed their sketches lately, they're on point!

I also used a prompt from the latest "issue" at Paper Issues of "Knock my Fox Off". I used a woodland creature in this sweet page about my little deers.

Here's the original sketch:

I recently received a giant supply of stamps, inks and and embossing supplies from a friend of my best friend & I've really been enjoying them! I used some here to make the leafy branches connecting the photo circles.

It even got me to fussy cut, which I don't typically enjoy!

I really hope you will play along with us this week at Lasting Memories!

Supplies:

Deer paper - October Afternoon
Doily - Michaels
Stamp - Stampin' Up
Alphas - Studio Calico
Chipboard stickers - Crate Paper

Soulmates

Happy Columbus Day!

Ah the joys of being a federal employee - haha.

Today I'm bringing you a fun little page I created for my October Daily.

I created this page for this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories, which was to use nature elements in your work.

I also created this page using a fun sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!

Here's the original sketch. I had to adapt it to fit my 6x8 OD album.

I used some leaves and pumpkins as my nature elements. I also added texture by using a paper bag and twine.

I sure do love how these little dudes love each other!

This was a super fun page to create. I hope you come and play along with us over at Lasting Memories. As always, LGS has great sketches, so check them out too!

Supplies:
Papers - Craftsmith, Pumpkin Spice
Glitter leaves and pumpkin - Hobby Lobby
Staples - We R Memory Keepers
Wood veneer and triangle clip - Studio Calico
Twine - Michaels

Starting October Daily

Happy Friday, ghoulies!

Today I'm bringing you the very beginning of my October Daily album. I don't print photos at home, so I will be doing them in small batches and posting every few days.

I'm enjoying this project. My first few days were over a very busy weekend, so I have a LOT of photos for a few days, but it shouldn't be like that all the time.

Here's day 1 and 2!

I'm using a photo-a-day challenge with digital text, so I included that with a list of the monthly challenge. A while back I found these hard plastic smash book dividers at a discount store, so I cut one down (it was surprisingly easier than I thought!) and used it for my 5x7 photo. I put some trim on the divider tab with a few embellishments. These are the faces of pure joy after an amazing TN football win!

On the other side of the divider, I taped this Crate Paper glitter paper bag. I put a football and a banner on the outside. The inside contains an account of the amazing TN vs GA game from last weekend and our reactions to the Hail Mary victory! So fun.

Ha - Is is just me or do the rest of you have **tons** of pocket page cards and still end up making your own? On Saturdays we wear Orange - Mean Girls ref... and my two little Vols with their Kroger cookies samples. Good Saturday.

I used to LOVE playing with the LightBrite. My son found it at my parents' house & enjoyed it too. We celebrated the husband's and the bro's birthdays, and neither gave me a wonderful photo, so they get skulls!

On Saturday, we ended with the boys in the bounce house.

Day 2 - we had some family time & my cousin took these cute photos. I used a gold metallic glitter theme, and this might be my favorite page so far!

October is for BOOOOts (get it, the ghost?) and giving babies candy. I love a good, unplanned Sunday afternoon with my boys.

Our city does a fun thing where people paint rocks and hide them for kids to find. It's called Hendersonville Rocks. We found a strawberry rock at the local outdoor mall while we were strolling and riding trikes!

So far October is lovely. Looking forward to catching up on my days, and sharing more soon.
