My Angel - a Stuck?! sketch

Happy hump day, friends!

Today I'm bringing you a layout I was able to create fairly quickly with a sketch from the Stuck?! blog & I LOVE it!

Here's the original sketch:

I just can't get enough of this baby's angel face! I snapped this pic in the doctor's office a while ago, and it's one of my favorites. You know how they're all extra snuggly and sweet when they're sick?

I combined some of my favorite wood grain paper with bright yellow which I fringed. I also used a sage green and tied in some cork color to compliment the wood grain.

I love this tiny paper clip bow from Illustrated Faith - who says bows don't go on boy pages?

I cut the title from my Cricut. The font is a free one - Daydreamer.

I made a visual triangle with green bits of ephemera and cork bits.

I stamped the "you are lovely" sentiment from my Ink Road stamps. It is a single line, but since that would not fit on my label, I masked the bits I wanted separate, stamped the part I wanted, and unmasked before stamping, then did the opposite again! This is a great way to make a stamp fit where you need it.

Supplies:
Gray heart paper - Project Life
Yellow paper - Chickndiddy
Green paper - Heidi Swapp
Wood paper - Chickndiddy
Green leaf ephemera and green tag - My Minds Eye
Gray tag - Studio Calico
Cork geotag - Studio Calico
Cork banners - the Paper Studio
Bow - Illustrated Faith

I had so much fun creating this page. Thanks for looking!

Scrappy Besties - A Stuck?! sketch & a Sketch in Thyme PL sketch

Well it's been a min, huh?!

Seriously getting into my family's busiest season, but I've got to stay on track with my scrapbooking!

Today I'm bringing a fun layout I created with the most recent Stuck?! sketch.

Here's the original sketch:

I must've been waiting for the exact perfect STAMPS to create this layout. I used my new Beautiful Mess set from The Ink Road stamps shop.

Cheryl is someone I was paired up for a pocket pals Disney swap. Well, we sure hit it off over our love of Disney and scrapbooking, and not having anyon in real life who "gets" our type of scrapbooking! We talk almost every day! I was super excited to meet her and her family on our last Disney trip, and these are the pages documenting it.

I used some of the fun sentiments from this crafty set about my Scrappy  Bestie! I popped them up with foam dots around a cute Minnie frame.

I started out trying to do a red and white page, but I couldn't find enough red with the bright white. So I made my own background paper by embossing Minnie's bow in white on red paper, and I used my clearsnap smooch to color some white flower yellow to bring that bit of added color throughout the page.

We both agreed we do not love the photo, but we are memory keepers, and we realize it is important to tell the story anyway! We will just have to go to WDW again and take another!!

I used the little pushpin stamp to tab my hidden journaling card behind the photo.

I found this one final perfect blue flower to help bring that color to the bottom of the page!

I embossed the texture pasted castles with iridescent glitter, and I also stamped an iridescent glitter Minnie bow to math the background paper, but it apparently doesn't photograph well.

I love it!

So I also completed the corresponding pocket pages where I included photos of the boys playing together at Disney Springs.

I used a fun sketch from Sketches in Thyme Project Life to create a card for this layout.

It says "Dis BFF" as our boys took to each other well and quickly! So sweet!

Here's the original sketch:

Here is the card within the entire PL page:

And here's the backside, which includes my 4 year old's photog skills!

I"m still plowing through and playing catch up on my Pocket Palooza 100 days project. This was part of it. Not giving up!

Thanks for checking out my layouts today!

Perfect Day - a Lasting Memories page

Hey everyone!

I hope you've having a wonderful weekend. We have another wonderful challenge for you this week over at the Lasting Memories blog - to use florals in your layouts!

This is the 6x8 layout I created for this week's prompt:

I picked up this 6x8 Heidi Swapp paper pad at Tuesday Morning & thought it would be so perfect for our Biltmore photos!

I stamped these Stampin' Up flowers and embossed them and fussy cut to add to the floral aspect of the page.

I added my title of sorts on this turned up bit. I love titles usually, but this is a mini album, so I do not feel titles are necessary on every page since they're clearly within the same theme.

It ended up being a beautiful day that day after the rain passed by. We had a lovely no-kids trip to Asheville. The Biltmore is lovely.

I hope you will go play along with our challenge this week at Lasting Memories, and you still have time to play along with our other pattern challenges.

Supplies:
All papers - Heidi Swapp
Floral stamp - Stampin' Up
Perfect stamp - Studio Calico

Cozy Cub - a PI prompt page

Heyyyy everybody!

I had a very scrappy Labor Day holiday, and am bringing you a new layout made during that productive day.  I used the Paper Issues prompt of "let's give them pumpkin to talk about" Ha! I love it!

So I made this fall layout for my little cub.

Ahhh not even a year later and he's so huge now! :(

I wanted the orange to compliment the tone of my photo, but I love a good kelley green, so I couldn't ignore those pjs. I think it's a little bit of a different color combination but I'm diggin' it.

I had to outline the alphas with a marker, as they were not standing out enough for me. I used the sequins to bring the green and orange together within the page.

I also added the orange twine to the green strips as another way to tie the color combination together. I seriously bought this entire pad of WRMK paper at Tuesday Morning, and I've scoured the package, and I cannot find the name of the collection?!

I am just loving this bear stamp! I use it on so many layouts. I embossed him with green to add to the green theme.

I am just sooo ready for fall! It's really felt a lot like fall this weekend, let's hope it stays that way. Watching my favorite team on tv as I type & I used my pumpkin lotion today. Fall is my favorite!

Supplies:
Orange papers - Craft Smith Co
Wood paper - Crate Paper
Green bits - We R Memory Keepers
Alphas - Basic Grey
Stamp - Hampton Art
Acetate piece - Cedar Lane by Pink Paislee

Thanks for looking & Thanks for the Inspiration, PI - I'll probably use that Issue theme as a title some time! haha

Star Spangled Studs

Happy Sunday-Funday!

I hope you are filling your day with fun. Today I'm bring a fun layout for this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories. The challenge is to use stripes on your layout.

I scrapped some 4th of July photos of my Star Spangled Studs, where stripes are obviously a staple for an Independence Day page!

All papers and die cuts beyond the background are from a Pebbles collection. I typically scrap a series of photos of my boys because it's super hard to choose the best photo of these crazy kids.

I used navy ink to stamp some stars & splattered some navy Heidi Swapp shine as well. I spangled the title with gold thickers.

Contemplating packing up craft supplies makes me want to use up my stash! Hence, all the die cuts splattered throughout the page.

I hope you will go play along with this week's challenge at Lasting Memories! I can't wait to see what you all create!
