All the feels - a Stuck?! sketch

Happy Monday, all!

Today I bring to you my favorite layout I have created so far in 2017! I know it's still early, but I'm super happy how ths tunred out! haha!

I used a lovely sketch from the Stuck?! blog.

Here is the original sketch:

The colors just kind of came together, as I was startng with just the doily and the black and white. But when I decided to cut the layering photo paper to show the other side, I had to incorporate that bright pop of yellow too!

A dear scrappy friend just sent me a lovely happy mail with these GORG sequins and the beautiful doilies & I didn't wait long to use them!

I love distressing my paper, but I get a little wild with it sometimes. Luckily, I love the look of the WeRMemoryKeepers fastner, so it serves dual purpose!

The journaling was supposed to be written on the page, per the sketch, but this journaling needed to be hidden. I loved bringing the pop of colors to the tag ribbons tho!

I have said before I'm too impatient for much mixed media because of the whole waiting for it to dry thing, but I feel like I may want to get into it more. I'm not sure where to start though. If you have tutorials you love for mixed media scrapbooking, post the links below, por favor!

Supplies:
Textured white cardstock - DCWV
