It's time for another monthly blog hop with the A Cherry On Top Design team!
This month's theme is "It's Fall, Y'all!"
I hope you're inspired by the way the design team has used different fall collections from the A Cherry on Top store to kick off the autumnal season.
As usual, there is a $10 store credit up for grabs. Just make sure to comment on all the blogs in the line up - easy as pumpkin pie.
Here's the line up:
Natalie {that's me! you're here!}
Today I am using the new Amy Tangerine Late Afternoon fall collection for my layout, along with the new Catherine Pooler Autumn is Calling stamp and die sets.
You can find a full process video on my YouTube channel.
I used A LOT of pattern from the 6x8 paper pad from Late Afternoon. Since I wanted to highlight so many fun patterns, I chose a solid background page, in cream to highlight the autumnal feel.
I used my large scalloped punch from EK success and punched from 5 different papers. I ended up chosing mostly mustard yellows and browns. The 6x8 pad has 36 unique papers - no duplicates!
I applied clear gesso to the background and used powdered inks to create the pixelated effect. I love to leave the powdered inks unmixed to keep the different tones isolated, and laying them atop textured cardstock helps to achieve this look!
I also used Tim Holtz's vintage collage medium to add texture through a chevron stencil. All together, it gave me a very fall vibe to my layout!
I used the Catherine Pooler Autumn is Calling stamp set to create leaves in 4 separate autumn colors, and one embossed set using Wow Embossing Copper Sparkle. I then ran them through my Big Shot with the corresponding Autumn is Calling dies.
I also layered some of the leaf stickers from the Amy Tangerine Late Afternoon cardstock stickers with my die cuts to tie in with the white background stickers I used around the photo.
The 3d leaf sticker is from the Amy Tangerine Late Afternoon Grateful Phrase stickers sheets.
Never enough layers - that's my motto! I love the dimension.
I hope you're inspired to create some fall crafts from our September blog hop!
There are so many awesome fall collections in the A Cherry on Top store.
