I created two double page spreads - one with a photo of my husband, and the other with a photo of me.

For the photo of my husband, he's wearing buffalo check, so I went with the Echo Park Little Lumberjack collection.

Whenever I run across a good small quote or phrase on Instagram or Pinterest, I save it to use as a future scrapbook page title. I got this hilarious sentiment from a tshirt online, and thought it'd be perfect for this photo of him about to dig into an entire pot of soup!

The black alphas from the Double Cut die from Concord & 9th.

The red alphas are the Heather lowercase die from Pinkfresh Studio.

I highly recommend a die which cuts alphas with outlines!  These are basically one of my top favorite supplies!!!

The patterned paper to back the photo was busy, so not much embellishment was required. I typed a tiny bit of journaling and added a few cardstock stickers referencing camping and his beard.

I love travelers notebooks because they come together very quickly!

I had to use a variation on the TLC waterfalls song for this page, obvi.

I was inspired to use Heidi Swapp's Old School collection by my camo sweatshirt.

I grabbed the sticker book and made it super easy to title & embellish.

I incorporated a few yellow stickers, so I added mustard yellow splatters to match.

Kraft was my solid base to compliment the patterned camo, but I also backed the craft with white cardstock to make it pop. Layering your 2d stickers is the best way to keep interest on the page without making it too bulky.

Distressing patterned paper edges also adds fun texture.

I love how these shimmerz splatters show up on Kraft paper!

I stamped the word definitely on a Heidi Swapp label with tiny stamps, and embellished with these clear enamel bubbles.

Pumpkin Patch with Lasting Memories

Good morning, dear friends!

Today I'm bringing a traveler's notebook spread I created for this week's prompt over at Lasting Memories. This month is all about Fall Harvest! Scrap about your harvest or favorite plants/flowers/etc.

My spread is about the TWO pumpkins we grew in our yard this year. LOL - pitiful! At least they're pretty.

I love how these Echo Park die cut, Carta Bella stickers and striped paper from CraftSmithCo all fit together so well with my pumpkin photo.

As always I used my Rock Your Notebook custom insert.

I layered a vellum envelope behind the photo with some adhesive cork to pop it off the page.

I cut little notches in the sides of my background paper to keep the twine in place.

Here's the story of our sorry pumpkin patch! haha!

Favorite quotes with Rock Your Notebook

Hey friends!

I have a new art journal spread today using my awesome Rock Your Notebook mixed media black and white insert!

I love coming up with new things to show up on the black pages of this traveler's notebook.

I ran across this quote in a book I"m reading the other day and it spoke to me, so I had to get it down.

I thought black doodles on the white page tied well into the black opposite page.

I used ranger texture paste through a white stencil and sprinkles Paper Artsy Infusions in yellow and blue - swoon!

Toppped things off with some dies, of course, my current go to tool is my Big Shot. I can't get enough delicate glitter cuts!

A light in the galaxy - a RYN spread

Hey friends!

Today I'm bringing you a fun, watercolor galaxy I created in my Rock Your Notebook travelers notebook.

I used the black and white mixed media notebook. This middle page is two white pages facing one another, so I decided to try my hand at a galaxy and I love it!

The paper is so wonderfully thick that the watercolors did not soak through at all, and I really saturated my pages.

The light stamp is from Ink Road Stamps and the Harry Potter quote is from Kelly Purkey shop.

I love that bit of texture the hand sewn spine gives!
