Today's prompt at Lasting Memories is "What I love about Myself".
My husband and son were looking through our 2014 scrapbook and noticed some unfinished pages - for shame! So I grabbed these photos of my husband and myself and got one step close to completion of that album (honestly thought it was done!).
What I love about myself (and my husband) is our sense of adventure. We are very compatible travel companions, as we typically enjoy the same level of adventure, relaxation & activity. Here we are at the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado for his 30th birthday.
Supplies
Cardstock and flower paper, washi, wood veneer, enamel dots and large white alphas - Studio Calico
Arrow Paper - Seven paper company
small white alphas - basic grey]
Staples - we r memory keepers

Explore the Great Outdoors
Today I scrapped a #selfie from our first trip on the lake in our recently acquired kayaks.
The weekly challenge over at The Paper Girls Challenge is to create something about the Great Outdoors. The Echo Park Happy Camper collection is so perfect for this task!
I also created this layout for the Challenge YOUrself monthly challenge of using geometric shapes in your layout. I'd had the idea of a badge for a while, and I went with a simple circle as my shape. I also used a couple of papers with an arrow shape.
Here are a couple of detail shots:
I tinted the woodgrain title with some ink pads to make it show up a bit better. The badge isn't exactly as I had in mind, but I will keep practicing!
Supplies:
Background Paper, orange paper and multi-colored photo backing paper - Echo Park Happy Camper
Brown arrow paper - Basic Grey
Badge cut and alphas drawn by Cricut
Staples - WeRMemory Keepers
Wood title - Studio Calico

Mr. Wonderful
Today's layout was created for a couple of June Challenges.
First, over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, the June prompt is to use the word Wonder or Wonderful on your page.
Also, at Paper Issues, they have a "Let's get Knot-ical" Challenge. The Fancy Pants Making Waves collection was perfect for this challenge!
So I created this page for these two challenges:
This photo is my husband at the North Shore in Oahu, Hawaii, where he was born. His family used to live in the North Shore and his mom took this pale baby to the beach every day. Sounds like quite the life to me!
The stamp and Cricut drawing collection in the top corner didn't quite turn out how I wanted, but that happens sometimes, huh?
Supplies:
Cardstock - DCWV Coral Couture
Stamps - 7 Gypsies
Letters and patterned paper - Fancy Pants Making Waves
Rub on - Studio Calico

Discovery - a Stick It Down Sketch Challenge
Today I have a fun layout created from a sketch over at Stick It Down. Their double page had one page that looked exactly like a Project Life page I have, so I used the pocket sleeve for one side of my layout.
My page also works for the This or That Challenge over at Through the Eyes of Rochelle Spears. For May, the challenge is to use Buttons or Flair, and I used buttons on the left page.
I custom made the top left pocket card from a paper stack & cutting out patterned papers.
Here are a couple close ups of the embellishment details. I added some thread to my buttons & the ampersand chipboard for some added texture.
Supplies:
Patterned paper - Studio Calico
Chipboard, yellow thread, puffy alphas - Studio Calico
Pocket Cards - Me and My Big Ideas
Wood Veneer Circle - Dear Lizzy
Clips - Around the Block
Black and white thread - Target

Go With You - An April Mood Board Challenge
Today's layout was super fun to make! I used the April Mood Board over at Jot Magazine.
This photo is from our Hawaii trip. It's at Maui's Iao Valley State Park. Everything is beautiful in Hawaii!
This is the lovely mood board, and I used all but one of the colors.
I saw this adorable "tech tip" over at Scrapbook Circle about how they used a fringe CUT FILE to make their fringe! I said, "Hey! I can do that!" So I whipped up a little fringe cut file, and it made the process SOOOOO much quicker than I had previously done with my little fringe bee. I decided on a sweet little hot air balloon as my fringe shape for this travel page.
I had to use the glitter gold shoes from the mood board - insert lovely GOLD alphas!
The pink really got me too. I had a bunch of pink items from a past Studio Calico kit, so they got put to good use! The I love you ephemera matches perfectly too, even though it is from a Becky Higgins Project Life kit!
Supplies:
Blue, Grey and Pink background papers from various Studio Calico kits
Pink number transparency - Studio Calico
Pink and red stickers - Studio Calico
I love you paper ephemera & clear flower - Becky Higgins September Skies kit
Fringe papers from Studio Calico and Pink Paislee
Die cut - Cricut
Gold Alphas - American Crafts
Pink alphas - Studio Calico
I'm really loving how this turned out & reminiscing about our "babymoon" before our firstborn came along! :)

One of my wonders - the Eiffel Tower
On our trip to Paris, the beautiful city treated us right with the most gorgeous weather each day. We stayed for 4 days and I think we visited the Eiffel Tower every day! It was definitely at the top of my own, personal world wonders.
So I've used my Counterfeit Kit, Les Voyageurs, for a new layout of my favorte, Parisian site.
I knew since I've started the album that I wanted to do one of the trendy, geometric paper filled pieces with the Eiffel Tower. Then I made the clouds geometric also to mirror the fluffy white clouds in the photo.
I loved how the wonder word bubble also mirrored the clouds!
I added the flowers to carry the pink and add more dimension.
Supplies:
Gray Cardstock - Craft Smith by Michael's
Patterned papers - Chickadee, Echo Park, DCWV
Paper words - Crate Paper, Wonder
Flower Gems - American Crafts
Rain dot hearts - Cloud 9
Pearl sticker - Joann's

those eyes though...
Today we have another lovely sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.
I kept it fairly simple because I love this photo & didn't want to take away from it. This was taken on our hotel's pier at Gulf Shores, Alabama last summer. He is constantly getting comments about his eyes, from family, friends, and strangers alike. I thought this title fit perfectly for how beautiful they looked by the ocean!
Here's a detail shot:
Supplies:
Paper from the Atlas collection by Pink Paislee
Rain Dots by Cloud 9 Design, Multi Stardust
Title cut by Cricut, Gypsy cartridge & Cricut Outline Font
Paper ephemera by Bo Bunny, Noteworthy Collection
Stamps by $1 spot at Target

Bienvenue a Paris - a Counterfeit Kit Club page
Well I was going to save my Counterfeit Kit for April for this upcoming Saturday when I'm attending an all day crop, but I just couldn't wait! Once I decided how to use my kit, the ideas started flowing. Who am I to stop creativity?
So I created the entrance to Paris page for my scrapbook with my Counterfeit Kit, Les Voyageurs.
I mean, who could not love a city who welcomes you with a sunset like this?! Paris was always my dream vacation, and it came true in 2011 when my husband and I traveled to France, among Ireland and Spain. It was everything I had imagined (except maybe a bit more walking...), and we both LOVED the city. I definitely want to return and take my kids someday (Disneyland Paris, anyone?).
Here are a few details:
I used my Cricut to write the type on the cardstock. I then just clustered a few groupings of embellishments and cut a decorative border from my Cricut as background to the photo.
Supplies:
Grey cardstock - Craftsmith by Michaels
Patterned Cardstock & stamp by DCWV
Wood veneer by Heidi Swapp
Stamp by 7 Gypsys
Thanks for looking! Merci!
