ACOT DT June 2020 Blog Hop || Catherine Pooler

Hey Cherries!

You should have arrived from Sara's blog.
Natalie here with a rainbow layout created using the new Catherine Pooler Flutters and Blooms release and some of her yummy inks!

You can find all the products discussed in this blog post in the A Cherry on Top store! You can also find a process video on my channel.

One randomly chosen participant will win a $10.00 ACOT gift certificate. Must comment on all blogs to be eligible to win.

I started my layout with some smooth white cardstock and flowers from the Wings of Joy stamp set.

I stamped three sizes of flowers from the Wings of Joy stamp set by Catherine Pooler directly onto the page in
Samba
Orange Twist
Tiki Torch
Limoncello
Melon IceLime Rickey
Fiesta Blue
Sweet Sixteen

I simply adore these CP inks! I highly recommend them. They are super crisp and blend beautifully. I watered down a bit of each color to add splatters within the floral strips.

I stamped an initial flower image, and then the second generation ghost image to ensure depth on my layout.

Next, I stamped the same three florals in all 8 colors on separate white cardstock.

Then, I embossed iridescent glitter embossing powder atop the flowers.

I used my Tim Holtz stamping platform to ensure the embossed image matched perfectly with the stamped flower.

After embossing the stamped florals, I used the Wings of Joy dies to cut them out on my Sizzix.

I used adhesive foam to adhere the die cut flowers to the corresponding colored section.
I definitely wanted the flowers to star, so not much else was needed on the layout.

I used a sentiment from the Wings of Joy stamp set as part of my title, and die cut large letters out of adhesive foam for the word MOM. This is a photo of my mother and me on Mother's Day.

To complete the layout, I just adding a rainbow paper strip at the top  and bottom of my layout. Super simple, but impactful!

Your next stop on this blog hop will be Erica's page.

I hope you'll pop over to the A Cherry on Top Store to find so many cute products, including these Catherine Pooler goodies.

xo, Natalie
